Agricultural Studies

Agricultural studies is an interdisciplinary major requiring courses from each of the five departments in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. A relatively large set of elective courses allows students to customize the program to meet their individual needs. This major is suitable for students interested in a variety of agricultural jobs including sales or production agriculture.

Faculty

All faculty in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences are involved in the agricultural studies program. Because of the flexibility offered by this major, faculty in every department can be part of each individualized student program. Many CAFES faculty have received public recognition for outstanding teaching and all of the faculty are strongly committed to teaching and learning.

Facilities

The College's facilities include excellent classrooms, general and specialized laboratories for different disciplines, computer labs, a greenhouse and two lab farms. The lab farms include animal and associated crop production enterprises providing a vital resource for teaching, research and student employment.
