Check your UWRF email for your Orientation schedule! You will also be able to find your schedule throughout your residence hall once you move in!

Schedules will vary by residential status, so if your schedule looks different than a friend’s, that's okay! We tried our best to keep you in an orientation group with other students from your residence hall floor or other commuters (if you’ll be commuting). While the groups my be pre-determined for students, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet and interact with students in other orientation groups!

Your Orientation schedule is intentionally based on where you are living (either by residence hall or commuter status). Please stick to your schedule. Individual schedules will be emailed to you and available on a poster in your residence hall wing, if applicable.

Orientation is expected of all incoming students to ensure a successful transition to life at UWRF. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please email orientation@uwrf.edu with the dates and times that you are unavailable.

Orientation on August 30 and 31 is expected to be attended by all incoming students. We’ve designed the program to help you make connections with peers, campus and the UWRF community so you are ready to start the year off strong! Check your UWRF email to see your schedule for each day.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, please email orientation@uwrf.edu with the dates and times that you are unavailable.

You'll be with other incoming Falcons! You'll also be assigned an Orientation Leader (OL) who will lead your Orientation Group through different sessions and activities.

Good news, you don't need much! You will need your UWRF ID card and cell phone, plus we’d recommend bringing a water bottle if you’d like. On the day you're scheduled to get your textbooks, a backpack or other durable bag will be handy!

Your assigned Orientation Leader should be your first point of contact regarding any questions during orientation, as they'll know who or where to direct you to at all times throughout the weekend. Your OL will be contacting you via email before the first day of Orientation!  Check your UWRF email or poster in your residence hall for more information.

There will be lots of people to help answer questions during Move In! Don't hesitate to stop anyone with a nametag or UWRF Falcon Move Crew shirt. Your assigned resident assistant (RA) is also a great resource to answer questions as you get settled in!

If you purchased a parking permit, you'll be eligible to park in Pay Lot 3 (by the Falcon Center) per your parking permit. If you didn't purchase a parking permit, you'll want to plan time to find a parking spot on the street or in one of the pay lots on campus. Be sure to read signs carefully so you know where you can and cannot park - you're responsible for obeying all parking regulations!

Keep an eye on your UWRF email because your assigned Orientation Leader will share details on where you should meet your Orientation Group. When in doubt, go to the University Center!

Your meal plan is active beginning on Move In Day (August 29). During Orientation, breakfast and dinner are on your own time - invite a friend to join you! Lunch is scheduled during Orientation activities so you'll be eating lunch with your Orientation group.

If you're a commuter, all meals are included for you in Riverside Commons during Orientation - even if you don't have a meal plan!

To view dining hours and options, look for Orientation/Week of Welcome posters around the residence halls, visit the When and Where to Eat webpage or download the "Dine on Campus" app.

Families and supporters do not have a formal Orientation. However, families and supporters are encouraged to stick around during the afternoon on Move In Day, August 29, for Family Fest, which will happen in front of the University Center from noon-5 p.m. More Family Fest info can be found on the Week of Welcome webpage.

During Move In, families and supporters are able to join their student in Riverside Commons for a free meal (open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.). If you have a particular question, most offices will have normal working hours and will be happy to answer any questions.

Visit the Week of Welcome webpage to view the entire schedule. You can also download the Corq app to view the calendar of activities all across campus or follow @uwrforientation on Instagram for event info and updates!

Week of Welcome activities are encouraged as a way for you to have fun and connect with other Falcons during your first two weeks on campus!
