Program Overview

The Agricultural Business major combines elements of technical agriculture, business and economics into a powerful and comprehensive course of study. The major is well-suited for students who plan on a career in farming or agribusiness.

Highlights of the Agricultural Business Major

  • In a recent study by The Wall Street Journal, Agricultural Business majors had the 8th highest rate of employment out of 166 majors studied.
  • While more than 25,000 management positions are expected to open each year in the agricultural sector (USDA), there are only half that many agricultural business graduates entering the workforce annually, resulting in an abundance of jobs.
  • Virtually all agribusiness graduates in the past four years have found related employment or have gone on to graduate school.
