Institutional Research

The function and goals of UWRF's Institutional Research department are:

  • to implement research methodologies to collect and analyze information for university decision making.
  • to provide information upon request to various clienteles (internal and external).
  • to locate, update, and inquire data related to UWRF, state and federal needs.
  • to proactively educate the campus on the functions of the UWRF IR office.

Data Requests

**Please note: Requests are completed in the order and priority that they are received. Please allow 3-10 business days for your request to be completed.

Please submit your data request by completing the Data Request Form.



Your request must include the following:

  • Client Type (select one):
    • UWRF Employees and Students  select the “Campus User” type.
      • Please Note: You will be prompted to log in to BP Logix with your Falcon Account (W#). You can also find the form directly in BP Logix through “Start New Form” under the Institutional Research department.
    • All other requesters: Select the “Public User” type.
      • Please Note: We charge a $75 service fee for all external requests. We will contact you to confirm your invoicing information prior to completing any work on your request.
  • Contact Information: First and Last Name, Email and Phone
  • Subject Line: Please enter a brief but descriptive Project Title
  • In the message box provided, describe in detail the data you would like to request, including specific data fields, parameters and filters, and if you have a timeframe or deadline for the requested data.
    • Please Note: Requests are typically completed within three business days, but please allow up to two weeks to receive your data. Requests are completed in the order and priority that they are received. We will contact you if your request cannot be accommodated.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) limits the type of data that we can provide, in order to protect the privacy of educational records and not to disclose personally identifiable information about students. If a student has officially requested to restrict the release of their data, we cannot release this student's data.

Student data that is available for request (unless restricted by FERPA) can be reviewed on the Student Directory Information section.

Gainful Employment Certificate Disclosures

UW-River Falls is not required to submit gainful employment information for any of the following certificates as per the United States Department of Education.
