UW-River Falls hosting free Frances Cohler Coffee Concerts

Sept. 12, 2023 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has released the fall schedule for free Frances Cohler Coffee Concert Series that features a wide range of musical performances by university faculty as well as guest artists.

The series includes performances on flute, piano and violin as well as vocal concerts. Each concert takes place on Fridays at noon in Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building, 420 Cascade Ave., River Falls. Concerts are free and open to the public.

Concert series events for the fall semester include:

• Friday, Sept. 22 – Ji Young Lee and Horacio Nuguid, piano duo. 
• Friday, Oct. 6 – Twin Cities Trio featuring Adam Kunezel on flute, Silver Ainomae on cello and Miryana Moteva on piano. 
• Friday, Oct. 13 – Nordic Unrest featuring Oda Voltersvik on piano.
• Friday, Oct. 20 – The Music of Gregory Fritze, featuring Peter Sheppard Skaervard on violin. 
• Friday, Nov. 3 – UW-River Falls Piano Festival, featuring Bill Eddins on piano.
• Friday, Dec. 1 – Jack Swanson, tenor. 
• Friday, Dec. 15 – Barcelona Clarinet Quartet and Hannah Trondalen Hoyem, voice.
