UW-River Falls Homecoming and Family Weekend celebrations set for Sept. 23-25

September 12, 2016—The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will welcome alumni, parents, families, and students to campus September 23-25 for the annual homecoming celebration. The traditional homecoming festivities are combined with the annual Family Weekend event to create one large celebration bringing parents and family members together with alumni and students. The coordinating committee is expecting a large turnout for this event and is excited to showcase the campus and the River Falls community.

The annual homecoming parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, and will travel down Main Street beginning near the West Wind Supper Club and ending by Family Fresh. Alumni, parents, families, students, and community members are invited to enjoy the parade.   

Numerous campus events, open to the public, on Saturday following the parade include:

11:30 a.m.- University Center

Football vs. Southwestern
1 p.m.- Ramer Field

Film – "Finding Dory"
3  p.m. and 6 p.m.- Kinnickinnic Theater, University Center

Women's Soccer Game
4. p.m- Ramer Field

Bingo
7 p.m.- Pete's Creek, University Center

UWRF Homecoming Band Concert
7:30 p.m.- Abbott Concert Hall, Kleinpell Fine Arts building

1.874 Glow Run/ Walk
9 p.m.- University Center mall
