Spring Morning with a Professor Lecture Series Set at UWRF

Feb. 7, 2012--Registration is now open for the spring UW-River Falls "Morning with a Professor" lecture series. The popular series, which began in 1988, brings together university professors and community members to share expertise, knowledge and opinions on topics drawn from current news, historical events, contemporary issues and personal experiences.

Each two-hour session includes a thought-provoking presentation from a university faculty member and the opportunity for participants to share insights and inquiries in an open question and answer forum.

Lectures take place on Tuesday mornings from 9-11 a.m. in the Kinnickinnic River Theater in the University Center at UWRF. Registration is $60 and includes the six lectures, coffee and light refreshments. A limited number of parking permits will issued by request, on a first come, first served basis at the time of registration.

Spring 2012 presenters and topics include:

March 20: Professor Tim Holleran, Teacher Education Department, "Movement and Brain Development."

March 27:  Purnendu Vasavada, Animal and Food Science Department professor emeritus, "CSI Food Safety."
