Burns named UW-River Falls Foundation president Sept. 10, 2018 - Janet Burns has been named president of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Foundation, effective immediately. Burns has been serving as the interim president since June and has been the Foundation accountant since February 2013.
Fall public astronomy talks and observatory viewings at UW-River Falls September 27, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Physics Department begins its fall season of free public observatory viewings and astronomy talks on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Objects to be seen include planets, globular clusters, open clusters, nebulae, galaxies, moons, and double stars.

UW-River Falls Dairy Judging Team takes third place at two national competitions September 25, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dairy Judging Team took third place overall at two recent competitions: the 2018 Big E Eastern States Exposition held in West Springfield, Mass. and the All-American Invitational in Harrisburg, Penn. This was the first time a UW-River Falls team participated in the Big E competition where the UWRF team faced eight other teams. The UWRF team faced 14 teams in the intercollegiate competition at the All-American Invitational.
