Annual outdoor art installation event is Oct. 3-4 at UW-River Falls
September 20, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Art Department’s 27th Annual Outdoor Art Installation event is October 3-4. The event showcases student works of art designed to be site specific on the UWRF campus grounds.
 
Aztec dancers mark Hispanic Heritage Month at UW-River Falls
Sept. 5, 2018 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a free public event featuring Aztec dancers.
 
Bass named 2018 distinguished teacher at UW-River Falls
September 13, 2018—Animal Science Assistant Professor Casie Bass is the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Teacher Award at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the highest award bestowed on campus.
 
Burns named UW-River Falls Foundation president
Sept. 10, 2018 - Janet Burns has been named president of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Foundation, effective immediately. Burns has been serving as the interim president since June and has been the Foundation accountant since February 2013.

Fall public astronomy talks and observatory viewings at UW-River Falls
September 27, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Physics Department begins its fall season of free public observatory viewings and astronomy talks on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Objects to be seen include planets, globular clusters, open clusters, nebulae, galaxies, moons, and double stars.

Sept. 4, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is hosting a free workshop Sept. 26 for anyone planning to take the GRE test for admission to graduate school.
 
Harvest Dinner to benefit River Falls Food Pantry
September 20, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Crops and Soils Club, in conjunction with the River Falls Grow to Share Garden, is hosting a community dinner, Sharing the Harvest, on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Hoffman Park in River Falls. Proceeds from the event will benefit the River Falls Food Pantry.
 
New faculty bring real-world experience to graduate teacher education programs at UW-River Falls
September 27, 2018 – Three new faculty have been hired to coordinate and teach graduate programs in the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Sept. 5, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will hold a public hearing Thursday, Sept. 13, from 9:30-11 a.m. in the St. Croix Room of the University Center for the purpose of a mission change. UW-River Falls is seeking to update the select mission statement to include changes to the academic programs and to align with the university’s strategic plan, Pathway to Distinction.

Schneider receives Dykstra Faculty Excellence Award at UW-River Falls
September 21, 2018 – Chemistry Professor Jamie Schneider has been named the recipient of the 2018 Paul B. and Robert Dykstra Faculty Excellence Award at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
 
UW-River Falls Dairy Judging Team takes third place at two national competitions
September 25, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dairy Judging Team took third place overall at two recent competitions: the 2018 Big E Eastern States Exposition held in West Springfield, Mass. and the All-American Invitational in Harrisburg, Penn. This was the first time a UW-River Falls team participated in the Big E competition where the UWRF team faced eight other teams. The UWRF team faced 14 teams in the intercollegiate competition at the All-American Invitational.

September 21, 2018 - John Bryant “Bry” Wyman, M.D., a long-time supporter of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has made a $168,700 gift to the UW-River Falls Foundation.
 
UW-River Falls recognized by CASE for fundraising excellence
Sept. 10, 2018 --The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has been recognized for fundraising excellence by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
 
UW-River Falls recognized for excellence by U.S. News & World Report
September 24, 2018 - U.S. News & World Report has again named the University of Wisconsin-River Falls a Best Regional University, Top Public University, and Best Undergraduate Business University.
