Morning With a Professor Series Set at UW-River Falls

Sept. 4, 2012 -- Registration is open for the Morning With a Professor lecture series at UW-River Falls.

The popular series is part of a tradition that started in 1988. University professors and community leaders share expertise, knowledge and opinions on topics drawn from current news, historical events, contemporary issues and personal experiences.

Each two-hour session includes a thought-provoking presentation and the opportunity to share one's own insights and inquiries in an open "question and answer" forum.

Lectures take place on Tuesday mornings from 9-11 a.m. in the Kinnickinnic River Theater of the University Center. Registration is open to all St. Croix Valley community members. The fall 2012 series costs $60 and includes the six lectures, coffee and light refreshments. A limited number of parking permits will issued by request, on a first come, first served basis at the time of registration.

Fall 2012 presenters and topics include:

  • Sept. 25: William Cordua, Geology Department professor emeritus, "St. Croix Valley Geology: A Billion Years in the Making"
