Chalmer Davee Library to host reading of U.S. Constitution Sept. 23

Sept. 9, 2026 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Chalmer Davee Library will host a live reading of the U.S. Constitution on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 2-4 p.m. at the library, located at 330 E. Cascade Ave. The event is free and open to the public. 

Community members, students, faculty and staff are invited to attend and participate in the reading. Those interested in reading a section of the Constitution may sign up in advance. Individuals are also welcome to attend and simply listen. 

Free pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution, provided by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), will be available to attendees while supplies last. 

The event offers an opportunity for participants to engage with one of the nation’s foundational documents and reflect on its enduring role in American government and civic life.
