Full-time MBA Program Information Session Scheduled at UW-River Falls

Feb. 20, 2013 – The UW-River Falls College of Business and Economics (CBE) will host a free information session regarding the new full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program on Monday, March 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Alumni Room of South Hall. The full-time MBA program will be launched during the fall 2013 semester.

The full-time program will be offered entirely on the main UWRF campus in River Falls. The part-time MBA program currently offered by CBE will continue at the UW-River Falls Hudson Center. Features of the new full-time MBA program include:

  • An 18-month format, culminating in the practicum, a team-based research project that gives students hands-on experience with regional business leaders in a real-world setting.
  • Small, diverse cohorts of exceptional students.
  • The mentorship of a distinguished international faculty.
  • An emphasis on developing bold, innovative and responsible leaders in a global community.

"The new full-time MBA program is geared more towards recent undergraduates and international students who seek a competitive advantage entering the workforce," said George Dierberger, director of the MBA program. "Our full-time MBA program will prepare students by enhancing their business acumen while providing them with a consulting project with a business or non-profit organization."

The UWRF College of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), the highest standard of achievement shared by the most prestigious schools of business worldwide and a recognition esteemed by business and industry as an indicator of quality. AACSB accreditation assures students that the school has met rigorous educational standards and undergone extensive peer review. It gives both students and their future employers the assurance that graduates have gained the knowledge and skills to become a vital part of the workforce.
