Greenwood is Agriculturist in Residence speaker

 

October 18, 2018 - Mark Greenwood, chief diversified markets officer at Compeer Financial, is the 2018 Agriculturist in Residence speaker at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He will present “Three States, One Cooperative: How Business and Innovation Influenced Change,” on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Greenwood is knowledgeable in many diversified areas of agriculture. His areas of responsibility at Compeer include capital markets, consumer lending and specialized industries. These departments work to serve agriculture in many different ways including participating in large credit syndications, partnering with local community banks on agricultural real estate, providing financing for rural homeowners and supporting the swine, dairy, poultry, timber and vegetable industries.

In addition, Greenwood and the team at Compeer serve many agribusinesses like elevators, feed mills, ethanol plants, cold storage facilities for food, creameries, food processing and anything that is part of the farm-to-table concept. Greenwood will be sharing his expertise in these areas during his presentation.

Greenwood graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato with a degree in business administration and economics. Born and raised on a farm in southern Minnesota, his entire career has focused on agriculture. He is member of National Pork Producers, Minnesota Corn Growers Association, Minnesota Soybean Association and GreenSeam Business Group.
