Falcon hockey celebrates Year of Canada program at Dec. 1 games

 

November 16, 2018 – Fans who attend Falcon ice hockey games in Hunt Arena on Saturday, Dec. 1, will be able to take in some extra fun and learn about Canada at the same time. The Falcon women take on UW-Superior at 2:05 p.m. and the men play UW-Eau Claire at 7:05 p.m.

To celebrate UWRF’s Year of Canada program, 135 free servings of poutine will be served at each game, courtesy of Junior’s Restaurant & Tap House. In addition, 50 free commemorative pucks will be handed out at the conclusion of each game. Fun facts about Canada will be announced during the games and the Canadian national anthem will be played. A screening of the movie “Hockey Night” will also be offered in the RCU Community Room in the Falcon Center between the two games.

Game tickets are $8/adult, $4/seniors (age 60+) and students age 6-18, and free to UWRF students and children age 5 and under. Call 715-425-3900 with questions.
