Commencement ceremonies are Dec. 15

 

Dec. 10, 2018-- Approximately 412 bachelor's and master's degree students will receive degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls following commencement ceremonies Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Knowles Field House at the Falcon Center.

Chancellor Dean Van Galen will preside over the ceremonies and confer degrees. Graduating senior and music major Emily Dau will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" accompanied by the River Falls Brass.

The ceremony will include recognition of the Distinguished Teacher Casie Bass, Animal and Food Science assistant professor, and the presentation of the 2018 Outstanding Service Award to Alumnus Derek Cherne and to the Dairy Pilot Plant Steering Committee.

Dean Yohnk, dean, College of Arts and Sciences; Dale Gallenberg, dean, College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences; Michael Fronmueller, dean, College of Business and Economics; Michael Harris, dean, College of Education and Professional Studies; and Wes Chapin, associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, will present candidates for degrees at the ceremony.
