Ag Day on Campus 2019

Ag Day on Campus celebrating 10 years since event began

April 5, 2022 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Collegiate Farm Bureau will host Ag Day on Campus on Tuesday, April 19. The event is free and open to all.

The event will give UWRF students and community members an opportunity to engage with the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) student-led organizations and agriculture-related companies to learn about the positive impact agriculture is making.

Ag Day on Campus 2022 logo“Let the Good Times Grow” is the theme for the event. This is the 10th year since Ag Day was first introduced. It has continued to grow each year. More than 20 organizations and companies will share how they are innovating change for the future and caring for the land and animals.

After a canceled event in 2020 and a modified event in 2021 because of COVID-19, this year’s Ag Day will bring back traditional and some new elements to engage with people of different backgrounds.

Ag Day will showcase agriculture and will include interactive activities from Wisconsin’s own agriculture ambassador Alice in Dairyland; Princess Kay of the Milky Way, the ambassador for Minnesota dairy farmers; many animals, tractors and more activities.

The main event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UWRF University Center mall area. There outdoor event will include interactive booths from organizations and agricultural-related companies.

There will be a special red ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. to celebrate 10 years to kick off the event with speakers from Minnesota and Wisconsin agriculture.

Ag Day will conclude with a free dinner and keynote speaker Kim Bremmer at 5:30 p.m. in Room 200 of the Agricultural Science building. Bremmer will speak on “Leadership in Advocacy to Let the Good Times Grow.”  She began Ag Inspirations LLC in 2015 and has been advocating for farmers as a professional speaker, traveling across the country as well as internationally. She is passionate about protecting the use of science, technology and innovation in how we grow and raise food. Bremmer is also on the board of directors for her County Farm Bureau. Bremmer is a vocal champion of agriculture everywhere she goes from the grocery store to the airport.
