UWRF offers a variety of experiences designed just for youth and high school students. From test prep to athletic camps to options to earn college credit as a high schooler, we've got a wide array of options for our younger community members.

Science Olympiad

Hosted by UWRF STEM faculty and staff, the Science Olympiad attracts hundreds of high school competitors each year.

Summer Bridge Program in Mathematics

Our Summer Bridge Program offers a range of exciting and relevant math topics for students, grades 1-8, who are eager to keep learning and parents wanting to avoid the "summer slide."

Test Prep

UWRF offers a variety of test preparation courses in partnerships with Educational Testing Consultants, a leader in higher education test preparation.

Agriculture Technology Contest

Events cover a range of agricultural business, agricultural communications, agricultural mechanics, animal science, food science, natural resource and plant science topics.
High School Credit Options

Did you know that there are several options for you to earn college credit while still in high school? You can get a leg up on your college education, explore each of our programs and determine your best fit.

 

Athletic Camps and Clinics


Athletic Camps

Want to fine tune your skills in the off season and gain an edge in your sport? Falcon teams offer a variety of camps and clinics to help you up your game.

Learn to Climb

Learn to Climb is an introductory youth climbing program designed to empower kids ages 6-13 to discover the sport of climbing with experienced, certified instructors.

Skate School

We offer learn-to-skate, freestyle classes (for figure skaters who have passed delta), an annual ice show and pro's ice (for figure skaters taking private lessons).

Horse Camps and Clinics

Participants of all judging abilities and levels are welcome to UWRF's youth horse judging clinic. 4-Hers, FFA youth members, horse owners are all welcome.

Falcon Adapted Physical Education Program

The Falcon Adapted Physical Education Program is open to children with special needs in River Falls and the surrounding communities.

Planning a Youth Activity at UWRF? 

We're excited to support youth programs that inspire learning, exploration, and community connection. 

Start Planning Your Youth Program in 3 Steps:
  1. Complete the UWRF Youth Activity Pre-Check

    Submit the quick planning form to begin the review process.

  2. Submit the ​Field Trip Agreement​ (if applicable)

    School visits or K-12 groups should include a short description of requested activity or workshop.

  3. Connect with the Pre-College Liaison

    After submitting, email madison.bunnell@uwrf.edu so we can review and support your program. 

What Happens Next:
  • Program safety and compliance review
  • Guidance on required documentation
  • Approval and planning support
