Your support is greatly appreciated!
Each year students from middle and high schools across Wisconsin and Minnesota compete in the Agricultural Technology Contest. Events cover a range of agricultural business, agricultural communications, agricultural mechanics, animal science, food science, natural resource and plant science topics. The contest includes 17 team events, a crop show and power tool drag race. Some events qualify students to participate in state or national FFA Career Development Events.
The contest is coordinated by the UWRF Agricultural Education Department with faculty, staff and students from across the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences volunteering their time to organize the individual events.
The Agricultural Technology Contest began in 1961 with 168 students representing 18 schools. River Falls High School won the Award of Excellence that first year. The contest has grown to include over 800 students from nearly 70 schools each year.
