Why Study Superintendent Licensure?

Ready to earn your superintendent license? Designed to challenge the status quo of educational systems, UWRF's Superintendent Licensure program combines a flexible environment with a strengths-based focus, servant leadership values and a supportive learning community to create practical, relevant and effective licensure path. Upon completion, you'll be eligible for a Wisconsin Superintendent License.
Program Details
Semester 1 classes begin July 16-18 in a face-to-face format, followed by individually selected online sessions between July 19 and 29. Session 1 ends with three face-to-face days July 30 through August 1.
The learning community selects dates for Semester 2 (fall), Semester 3 (spring) and Semester 4 (summer).
Semester 1 face-to-face classes meet at WTC in Wausau. Learning community members select locations for semesters 2, 3 and 4. Approved locations include Ashland, Chippewa Falls, Madison, Pulaski, River Falls and Wausau.
The program consists of 10 courses, each worth three credits for a total of 30 total credits. Students complete projects to meet the NELP - National Educational Leadership Preparation standards adopted by the Wisconsin DPI for school superintendents. Learn more at https://www.npbea.org/nelp/.
