UW-River Falls hosting free Frances Cohler Coffee Concert Series
Sept. 1, 2026 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Music and Stage and Screen Arts Department has announced the 2026-2027 schedule for the free Frances Cohler Coffee Concert Series. The monthly concerts, presented on select Fridays throughout the academic year, will feature a diverse lineup of performers and musical styles, including members of the Minnesota Orchestra, UWRF faculty artists and distinguished guest performers. Concerts take place at noon on Fridays in Abbott Concert Hall in Kleinpell Fine Arts, 420 E. Cascade Ave., River Falls. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, all concerts are free and open to the public.
Concert series events for 2026-2027 include:
- Friday, Sept. 11: Minnesota Piano Quartet: Ji Young Lee, Horacio Nuguid, Anton Menichenko and Tina Park.
- Friday, Oct. 9: St Croix Ensemble: Natalia Moiseeva, violin, Silver Ainomäe, cello, and Ivan Konev, piano.
- Friday, Nov. 13: Peter Mack, piano, UWRF Keyboard Festival guest artist.
- Friday, Dec. 11: Choro Borealis, Brazilian music quintet.
- Friday, Feb. 5: Unseen/Unheard Duo: alto and bass flute reimagined.
- Friday, March 5: Bach: Organ and Beyond, Samual Libra, organ, and UWRF faculty.
- Friday, April 2: Ivan Konev, piano, and friends.
- Friday, May 7: Minnesota Orchestra Brass Quintet.
