UWRF names Jeff Lamie Assistant Chancellor for University Advancement

UW-River Falls names Jeff Lamie Assistant Chancellor for University Advancement

May 18, 2026 — The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has named Jeff Lamie Assistant Chancellor for University Advancement. Lamie will begin the position July 1.  

Lamie is a foundation executive with more than 20 years of experience leading philanthropy, foundation operations and strategic growth for healthcare and academic institutions. He has most recently served as a consultant, advising international universities and nonprofit organizations on philanthropic infrastructure, campaign strategy and cross-border giving.

“I’m honored to join UW-River Falls at such an important moment for the university,” Lamie said. “UWRF has a powerful mission, a strong sense of place and tremendous opportunities to connect alumni, friends and partners with the work of supporting students, faculty and the region. I look forward to working with Chancellor Chenoweth, the Advancement team, the Foundation Board and the broader Falcon community to build on the university’s momentum and strengthen philanthropic support in the years ahead.” 

Lamie earned his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University and his Bachelor of Arts in history from Rutgers University.  

“We’re excited to welcome Jeff Lamie to our Advancement team and look forward to the wealth of experience he brings,” said Interim Chancellor John Chenoweth. “He has a strong track record of building and sustaining support that will help advance academic excellence and opportunities here at UWRF.” 

“I’d like to thank Rick Foy and congratulate him on his retirement after leading University Advancement since 2019,” Chenoweth said. “His efforts, which recently included securing major support for our new Science and Technology Innovation Center (SciTech), will benefit UWRF students for generations to come.”
