UW-River Falls art gallery presents exhibition with Dean Allison, glass figurative sculptor 

Feb. 5, 2026 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Art Department is hosting an exhibition featuring the work of Dean Allison, a glass figurative sculptor, through Feb. 13 in Kleinpell Fine Arts Gallery 101, 420 E. Cascade Ave., River Falls. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.  

Allison, based out of Pittsburgh, is a studio artist working with figurative sculpture and the human condition in glass. He received his bachelor’s degree in studio arts from Illinois State University in 2001 and a Master of Art, Visual Arts in glass from The Australian National University in Canberra in 2010. He has worked at North Lands Creative Glass center in Scotland, Canberra Glass Works in Australia, Chicago Hot Glass and Pilchuck Glass School. Allison has taught at Penland School of Crafts, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Bullseye Glass in Portland, Ore., and The Glass Furnace in Istanbul. His public collections include the Muskegon Museum of Art in Muskegon, Mich., the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, Ala., the Hinson Art Museum in Wingate, N.C., and the Imagine Museum, St. Petersburg, Fla. He is currently represented by Habatat Gallery in Michigan and Blue Spiral in Asheville, N.C.
