UW-River Falls expands Giving Tuesday into Impact Week Dec. 1-5
Nov. 10, 2025 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will launch its inaugural Impact Week Dec. 1-5, expanding the spirit of Giving Tuesday into an entire week dedicated to generosity, community and student success.
Impact Week will spotlight the UWRF Impact Fund, the university’s most flexible and powerful source of support. Unlike restricted gifts, which are designated for specific purposes, unrestricted gifts fuel the foundation of UWRF’s success. They help support the Advancement team, whose work last year alone helped raise more than $4 million for the UWRF Foundation-dollars that directly supported scholarships, programs and opportunities for students.
“Every gift to the Impact Fund multiplies its impact,” said Rick Foy, assistant chancellor for University Advancement. “When you invest here, you’re not just supporting one project, you’re fueling the people who connect generosity to scholarships, innovation and life-changing opportunities for our students.”
Throughout the week, alumni, friends and the campus community are invited to join the fun by supporting the Impact Fund and engaging in Duel of the Decades, a spirited throwback challenge on social media, where alumni can vote on favorite styles, share memories and celebrate their Falcon pride.
How to participate in Impact Week:
- Give: Make a gift to the UWRF Impact Fund at students.uwrf.edu/give/impact-week. Gifts can be made now through Dec. 31.
- Engage: Join the Duel of the Decades on the UWRF Alumni Association social channels, vote in fun decade throwdowns and share alumni memories.
- Celebrate: Follow along as stories of student success and alumni generosity are shared throughout the week.
Impact Week invites Falcons everywhere to come together, give back and make a big impact heading into 2026.
