Regents Business Partnership Award presented to TurnKey Corrections
Nov. 19, 2025 – The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents presented the Regents Business Partnership Award to TurnKey Corrections, a River Falls technology solutions company, at a ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the company’s headquarters.
The award recognizes the strong ties between the company and the university.
“TurnKey Corrections supports UW-River Falls in a number of ways, starting with internship and career opportunities for students,” said Regent Timothy Nixon, who presented the award. “This partnership is a strong illustration of the deep connections between our 13 universities and their area businesses.”
Regent Nixon was joined by Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman and UW-River Falls Interim Chancellor John Chenoweth at the ceremony recognizing TurnKey Corrections, which was represented by CEO Dewey Wahlin.
“On behalf of our entire team at TurnKey Corrections, I am honored and humbled to accept this award,” Wahlin said. “We take great pride in our partnership with the Universities of Wisconsin and, in particular, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Our internship program with UWRF has enabled our company to hire many highly qualified employees who have made a very positive impact on our organization. Many of these incredible individuals are now in executive level positions.”
Chenoweth described the many ways UW-River Falls and TurnKey work together, including a robust 12-week paid summer internship program that provides students from UWRF and across the Universities of Wisconsin with practical, real-world experience and potential full-time employment. TurnKey currently employs 20 UW-River Falls alumni and another 10 alumni from other UW campuses.
TurnKey is a regular and consistent participant in UWRF Career Fairs and other events that give students the chance to interact, ask questions and learn about career opportunities.
“TurnKey Corrections is a strong and fully engaged partner with UWRF,” Chenoweth said. “Its most significant impact on our students is likely its commitment to helping educate them about their potential future career options.”
The company has also been a major financial supporter of UWRF’s new Science and Technology Innovation Center (SciTech) and University Business Collaboration Center (UBCC), as well as the St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center.
“The Universities of Wisconsin exist to serve the state. I’m proud of the partnership between UW-River Falls and TurnKey Corrections and that the company knows it can turn to the university for the talent it needs to excel,” Rothman said.
