Sept. 9, 2025 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls saw a 5% increase in new first year student enrollment this fall, according to preliminary estimates based on day one student counts, while overall enrollment held steady compared to fall 2024.
The preliminary estimate showed a total count of 5,275 students, including 1,189 new first years. Official enrollment counts will be released later this fall based on the 10th day of enrollment.
“We’re thrilled to see more new students choosing UW-River Falls as the place to pursue their academic and professional goals,” said Interim Chancellor John Chenoweth. “We appreciate the fact that students and families recognize the strength of our academic programs. This is an exciting year as we look forward to the opening of the state-of-the-art Science and Technology Innovation Center, which will benefit students across a wide range of majors.”
