Wyman Series at UW-River Falls Presents Carnaval Brasileiro

Jan. 29, 2013—The Wyman Series at UW-River Falls will present Carnaval Brasileiro (Brazilian Carnival) on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Falcon's Nest in the University Center.  The event is free and open to the public.  

Brazilian "Carnaval" (car-nah-VOW), the biggest celebration in the world, features a 10-piece band, Beira Mar Brasil, complete with horn section and hand percussion. The event features Brazilian music, food, dancing, and art.

Prior to the performance, a drumming workshop will be offered at 3 p.m. in the University Center Riverview Ballroom. The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Twin Cities' Carnaval Brasileiro website at http://www.rkeverest.net/beiramar.htm
