UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
June 25, 2018- Several state and dairy industry leaders gathered in the UWRF Dairy Pilot Plant (currently under renovation and expansion) to celebrate Wisconsin Cheese Day and congratulate UWRF on its commitment to educating the next generation of dairy producers, cheesemakers and industry leaders. During the morning, College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) Dean Dale Gallenberg, UWRF Chancellor Dean Van Galen and UWRF Dairy Pilot Plant Manager Michelle Farner were also presented with a Certificate of Appreciation signed by Governor Walker to recognize and thank UWRF and CAFES for contributions to Wisconsin’s cheese industry.

Harsdorf and Van Galen are holding a plate of UWRF Falcon Foods cheese produced by UWRF students who work and learn in the campus dairy plant.
