UW-River Falls Hosts German Oktoberfest Event Sept. 4

August 29, 2013—The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will host a "Kickoff to the Year of Germany Program:  Oktoberfest" event on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 5-8 p.m.  under the tent in the University Center outdoor mall area. The event is free and open to the public.   

The evening will include music by River Falls Brass, The Jim Busta Band, Edelweiss Dancers and a strolling accordion player. Educational displays will feature Oktoberfest history, German agriculture, German geographical displays, German parliament, German ancestry and Study Abroad opportunities.
