50th Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo to Feature Alumni Gathering, Concert The 50th annual UW-River Falls Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-14, at the outdoor rodeo arena at the Campus Farm on the corner of Wasson Lane and Cemetery Road. Performance times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The public is invited.
'First Mondays Under the Dome' Planetarium Presentations Offered "First Mondays Under the Dome," a series of planetarium presentations about astronomy topics, will be offered the first Monday of the month (as indicated) at 7 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Temple Grandin to Speak at UW-River Falls Temple Grandin will deliver a lecture, “The World Needs all Kinds of Minds," at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Riverview Ballroom. Grandin is one of the most respected experts on humane animal handling in the world and an advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Xcel Energy Grant Supports Future Teachers at UW-River Falls The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Education and Professional Studies has received a $3,000 scholarship grant from Xcel Energy. The grant money will be awarded to two teacher education students in the UW-River Falls "We Teach!" program.
