Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. invests in dairy education
October 30, 2019 – Dairy industry leader Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. has announced a second financial commitment of $350,000 toward the Dairy Pilot Plant Renovation Project at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, bringing its total support to $525,000.

National Coming Out Day activities at UW-River Falls
October 4, 2019 – The Center for Diversity Inclusion and Belonging (CDIB) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is hosting a variety of events to engage students, faculty and staff during National Coming Out Day on Friday, Oct. 11.
 
Peterson Lecture Series speaker to address music and politics in East Germany and Poland
October 24, 2019 - “The Sound of Stalinism: Music and Politics in East Germany and Poland” will be presented at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m. in the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center and will be preceded by a reception at 4 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.
 
Public invited to Freaky Family 5K
October 3, 2019 - Come on out and push, pedal or run freaky fast at a 5K event on Saturday, Oct. 26, hosted by the Health and Human Performance Department at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Costumes are encouraged and treats will be provided. Bring family and friends out for a spooky fun time.
 
Temple Grandin to speak Oct. 22
October 1, 2019 - Temple Grandin, world-renowned professor of animal science at Colorado State University, will speak about “Educating Different Kinds of Minds” at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Riverview Ballroom in the University Center. The public is invited.
 
Tuition discount offered for qualified educators
October 3, 2019—For a limited time, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is offering a tuition discount to teachers and other educational professionals who apply to the Professional Development Learning Community master’s degree within the College of Education and Professional Studies.
 
University Theatre presents “The Laramie Project: 20 Years Later”
October 3, 2019 - A staged reading of “The Laramie Project: 20 Years Later,” directed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Dean Yohnk will be performed October 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Syse Black Box Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building. Admission is free.
 
University Theatre to present ‘Robin Hood’
October 24, 2019 - University Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present “Robin Hood” by Greg Bank Nov. 1-2 and 8-9 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 2 at 2 p.m., and Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. in the Davis Theatre in Kleinpell Fine Arts.
 
UW Dairy Innovation Hub seeks solutions to challenges facing Wisconsin dairy industry
October 9, 2019 (MADISON, Wis.)—From improving human nutrition to assuring clean water to growing the farm economy while caring for animals, the Dairy Innovation Hub will harness the intellectual and creative power of three University of Wisconsin institutions to address the most complex challenges facing the state’s dairy industry.
 
Virtual open house features career-advancing courses
October 3, 2019 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Continuing Education Department will host a virtual open house with their education partner ProTrain, a national training provider, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at noon-1 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Those interested in career growth can learn how to gain new skills, retool, or enter a new field during the virtual open house.
