UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
April
6, 2017--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Art Department is
hosting its annual Juried Student Exhibition April 19-May 3 in Gallery
101 in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.
Included in the
exhibition is student artwork representing media including painting,
drawing, photography, printmaking, glass, ceramics, sculpture, mixed
media and design.
This year's juror, Eileen Cohen, received her MFA in ceramics from
Indiana University (Bloomington, Ind.) and her BFA in ceramics from the
University of Delaware (Newark, Del.). Following a residency at
Mendocino Art Center in California, she moved to Minnesota where she was
a 2005 McKnight Resident Artist at the Northern Clay Center. She
maintains a studio in NE Minneapolis and works as an arts educator and
exhibitions coordinator at Silverwood Park, (part of the Three Rivers
Park District), in St. Anthony, Minn. She is also a teaching artist at
the Northern Clay Center.
Cohen will be on campus Friday, April 19, to jury the exhibition, and will give a brief presentation about her choices during a reception at 3:30 p.m.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are Monday–Friday from noon–8 p.m. and Sunday from 2–4 p.m.
