10th Annual Bowls for Hope event to benefit River Falls Sunshine Fund January 9, 2019 - Each March the University of Wisconsin-River Falls works with the community to raise funds through the Bowls for Hope event where proceeds raised help a worthy organization make a difference in the St. Croix Valley. UW-River Falls mourns the passing of former Dean and Professor Emeritus Richard Swensen January 15, 2019 - Beloved and well-respected member of the UW-River Falls community, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry Richard “Dick” Swensen, who also served as chair of the Chemistry Department from 1967 to 1969 and as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1969 to 1988, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10. Swensen, who retired from UW-River Falls in 1993, left behind a legacy of integrity, academic contributions and visionary leadership, as well as a lasting legacy of generosity and service.
