Homecoming events planned for Oct. 8-14 at UW-River Falls

October 4, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls invites you to share in the exciting and sentimental experiences of homecoming.

Throughout the week of Oct. 8-14, traditional homecoming festivities will be combined with family-fun events to create one large celebration, bringing parents and family members together with alumni and students.

“It will be a great weekend to connect with and enjoy the company of our community, our students and our alumni,” said Pedro Renta, director of Alumni Relations. “We are extremely pleased with the 2018 homecoming event lineup.”

Featured events include:

Freddy's Dairy Bar Grand Opening, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m., 212A Agricultural Science building. The grand opening will include a brief program. UWRF mascot Freddy Falcon will also make an appearance. Following the ribbon-cutting, the celebration continues with specials and giveaways throughout the day. Homecoming Parade, Saturday, Oct. 13, 10:30 a.m., downtown River Falls. See UWRF’s Falcon spirit come alive! Remember a bucket for candy!

Falcon Center Tours, Saturday, Oct. 13, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Alumni welcome tent, Falcon Center main entrance. After nearly two decades of fundraising, the $63.5 million Falcon Center opened in Sept. 2017 providing outstanding spaces for academics, wellness, recreation and athletics. Tours will depart from the alumni welcome tent near the front entrance of the Falcon Center on 15-minute intervals.

Homecoming Football Game, Saturday, Oct. 13, 1 p.m., David Smith Stadium at Ramer Field. Falcons vs. UW-Stout.
