Career Fair at UW-River Falls to Feature Nearly 100 Employers
A Spring Career Fair hosted by Career Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center at UW-River Falls. More than 90 employers attending the Career Fair will be seeking potential employees to recruit for open positions.
 
Daymond John to Speak at UW-River Falls Scholarship Benefit
Daymond John, founder and CEO of the global lifestyle brand FUBU and star of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” will headline the Fourth Annual Scholarship Benefit Dinner on Friday, April 24, at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
 
First UW-River Falls Students Selected for AFA Food Institute
For the first time, students from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls were selected to attend the Agriculture Future of America (AFA) Food Institute in Chicago February 8-10.
 
More than 900 Students from Three States Compete in Science Olympiad at UW-River Falls
More than 900 students representing 33 high schools from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota competed in the annual Science Olympiad competition at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Jan. 24. The 61 teams competed in all 23 National Science Olympiad events as well as the five trial events from Wisconsin.
 
New Venture Competition Business Start-Up Ideas to be Presented at UW-River Falls
Five student teams will be sharing their ideas for new businesses with judges and the public next week during an exhibit hall that will serve as the final round of the first New Venture Competition at UW-River Falls.

A research project currently underway at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is blending basic science cancer research on artificial tissues conducted at the UW-River Falls Tissue and Cellular Innovation Center (TCIC) with an existing technology from Microscopy Innovations, LLC, in Marshfield.

UW-River Falls to Present Free Jazz Club Cabaret
February 13, 2015--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls RADD Jazz Series will present Jazz Club Cabaret featuring the UWRF Faculty Jazz Ensemble and guest saxophonist Donny McCaslin from 7:30-11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, in the Falcon's Nest in the University Center.
 
Wyman Visiting Professor in History Presents Inaugural Event at UW-River Falls
An internationally renowned scholar of environmental history, Professor Donald Worster, Hall Distinguished Professor of American History Emeritus at the University of Kansas, will visit the University of Wisconsin-River Falls March 4-6 to present two public lectures as part of the inaugural Wyman Visiting Professorship in History event.
