College of Business and Economics Professor Appointed to Editorial Advisory Board

Oct. 26, 2012 – Charlie Hurt, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has accepted an invitation to serve on the editorial advisory board of the scientific journal "International Journal of Management and Information Systems." IJMIS is published by the Clute Institute, and is devoted to international research on the impact of information systems on management decision.

The appointment is effective January 1, 2013.

Hurt, of River Falls, joined the College of Business and Economics at UWRF in 2006 as a professor in the computer sciences department. He served as Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at UWRF from 2006-07. He has published five books and more than 50 scholarly articles, reports and conference presentations.  

The Clute Institute was founded in 1985 for the purpose of disseminating the latest scientific research on various business and economics-related topics. It publishes 15 academic journals and sponsors multiple annual academic conferences. All of the Institute's journals are available online and free of charge.
