Chancellor's Blog: A late night tradition
UW-River Falls has some unique traditions, and one of the best is the Chancellor’s Late Night Breakfast. First hosted by Chancellor George Field in 1984, the tradition is for university administrators to serve a hot all-you-care-to-eat breakfast to students one evening during finals week.
 
Commencement is Dec. 16 at UW-River Falls
December 1, 2017-- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will hold its fall commencement at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, in the Knowles Field House at Falcon Center. A total of 431 bachelor's and master's degree candidates have applied for graduation.
 
Partnership brings four-legged hands-on learning to UW-River Falls
December 20, 2017--If you spent any time on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls this semester, you might have noticed a few new faces. No, they weren’t just the new fresh-faced Falcon freshmen. Thanks to a unique collaboration between the university and an area non-profit, these new faces happened to be of the furry, four-legged variety.
 
St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra concert Dec. 18 at UW-River Falls
December 5--The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will perform Monday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
 
Symphony Band and University Bands in concert Dec. 14
December 14, 2017--The Symphony Band and the University Band will perform in concert Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building at UW-River Falls.
 
UW-River Falls hosts legislators, regents, advisors
December 6--Members of the Wisconsin State Assembly joined members of the UW System Board of Regents, local business and community leaders and members of the Chancellor’s Advisory Council (CAC) for a special informational meeting at UW-River Falls on Monday, Dec. 4.
 
UW-River Falls senior awarded Gilman International Scholarship
December 4, 2017--Nicholas Schlaeger, a University of Wisconsin-River Falls biomedical science major from Grantsburg, is one of fewer than 1,000 students nationwide to receive a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study or intern abroad during the 2017-18 academic year.
 
UW-River Falls to host seminar on marketing livestock
December 8, 2017--Experts from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will present a seminar focusing on effective ways to market livestock January 19-20, 2018, at the UWRF Mann Valley Farm in River Falls.
 
UW-River Falls women’s hockey to face Korean national team
December 20, 2017--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls women’s hockey team will play an exhibition game with an international flavor on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, when it hosts the Korean national team at Hunt Arena in Falcon Center.
 
Vento Scholarship awarded to UW-River Falls graduate student
December 20, 2017--A graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is the 2018 recipient of the Bruce F. Vento Science Educator Scholarship. Rebecca (Becca) Stump of Tomah completed her biology major at UW-River Falls and is currently enrolled in the university’s STEMteach graduate program.
