Bowls for Hope Invites Charitable Organization Requests

Nov. 4, 2011--The third annual Bowls for Hope event is set for March 27, 2012. Event organizers are currently seeking to identify the charity or charities that will receive benefits from this event. Requests are welcome from St. Croix Valley nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in the St. Croix Valley region.

In March 2010, area restaurants, businesses, local artists and musicians, the River Falls School District, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls came together to raise funds during the inaugural Bowls for Hope Event. This inaugural event generated $5,000 in donations for Our Neighbor’s Place. In its second year, more than $4,700 was raised from the Bowls for Hope event for the Kinnickinnic Backpack Program with more than 220 guests in attendance.
