November 15, 2019 - On Sunday, 10 local business owners graduated from the 10-week Entrepreneurial Training Program offered by the Small Business Development Center at UW-River Falls.
Businesses represented included videography, commercial cleaning, grass fed beef, retail, fitness, wellness consulting and vacation cabin rental. Business stages were pre-venture through established, all looking for a new business model.
“There was so much value in taking this class - the information, tools, advice and being in the same room as other likeminded people,” said one graduate. “It cannot be replicated on your own, and I don’t know of any other programs like this.”
The Entrepreneurial Training Program is offered every fall and spring. At the end of the 10 weeks, students have a fully executable business plan and three years of financial projections. Program cost is $250. The next cohort begins March 10, 2020.
