54th annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo set for Sept. 7 and 8 at UW-River Falls
August 23, 2018 – The public is invited to the 54th annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8, at the outdoor rodeo arena at the UWRF Campus Farm, 1475 S. Wasson Lane, on the corner of Wasson Lane and Cemetery Road in River Falls.
 
Faculty art/research exhibition at UW-River Falls
August 23, 2018 - Art Department faculty at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present their artwork and research in an exhibition Sept. 5-28 in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.
 
Howry honored with AAEA Teaching Award
August 22, 2018 -- Sierra Howry, associate professor of agricultural economics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls received the 2018 Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) Distinguished Teaching: Less than Ten Years’ Experience Award at AAEA’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
 
Science and Technology Innovation Center project gains UW System board approval
August 24, 2018 – The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents voted Thursday to include the new Science and Technology Innovation Center at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the approved 2019-21 biennial budget request. Regents included the request of $110.9 million in enumerated funding for the new building in the capital budget request that will be considered by state legislature and the governor.
 
St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center and St. Croix Valley Branch of St. Paul Chapter of SCORE form pilot partnership
August 29, 2018 - The St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center (SCVBIC) in River Falls and the St. Croix Valley Branch of St. Paul Chapter of SCORE have formed a one-year pilot partnership to build upon the strengths of each organization’s mission. Each encourages small business formation, growth and development.
 
UW-River Falls makes Sierra Club’s List of Cool Schools
August 29, 2018 – The Sierra Club recently released the 2018 ranking of Cool Schools and campus sustainability efforts land the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on the list.
 
UW-River Falls students awarded national scholarships for Montessori teacher education
August 14, 2018 - The American Montessori Society Board of Directors and the AMS Scholarship Committee has awarded teacher education scholarships to two graduate students enrolled in the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Montessori Teacher Education program.
 
UW-River Falls to offer free program on intellectual property and inventor resources
August 14, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will host an education and networking event “Intellectual Property Basics and Local Inventor Resources” on Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 3-5 p.m. as part of a program aimed at small businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors.
 
Variety of events welcome students for fall semester at UW-River Falls
August 30, 2018 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will welcome more than 1,300 new students and their families to campus for New Student Move-In Day on Saturday, Sept. 1. Traffic around campus and residence halls will be restricted to single-direction and designated parking zones. The day is filled with many firsts for the new UWRF students – living in a new city, their first college roommate, their first Falcon football game, their first college class, and much more.
