Biography:

Arquimides A. Reyes, PhD, PAS, was born in El Salvador on a small dairy and beef farm. He attended Texas A&M University where he was involved in the Corps of Cadets and in the meats judging team. Arquimides started his career in the meat industry through consulting, buying and selling meat. He attended graduate school while working full time and completed a Master of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in meat and food science from Angelo State University. He later attended Colorado State University where he completed his Ph.D. in Animal Science with an emphasis in ruminant nutrition, meat safety and quality.
