The animal science - veterinary technology program is a five-year program for students interested in working with animals in the veterinary healthcare field but do not necessarily want to become a veterinarian. By spending three years at UWRF for animal science and two years in the veterinary technology program at the Madison Area Technical College (or another accredited veterinary technician program), students will earn both a Bachelor of Science and an Associate of Applied Science degree.
