Student Health and Counseling Services offers on-campus professional mental health counseling services, clinical health services contracted through Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls and Pierce County Reproductive Health Services in River Falls, and holistic educational and preventative initiatives and programming.
Student Health and Counseling Services are supported by the health segregated fee that students pay as part of their fees.
The Student Health and Counseling Services main office at 254 Rodli will be closed starting Mon March 23, 2020 and our staff will be working remotely, so we will continue to answer phones and respond to emails during business hours as we are able (8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri). Services will continue as outlined below and please see below for crisis/emergency numbers/information. Telephone: 715-425-3884. -UWRF Personal Counselors Appointments: Currently due to the COVID-19 situation, Counseling Services is no longer offering in-person counseling sessions, at least through the end of spring semester, and will be reevaluated at that time. We are offering short remote phone or email consultation check-in and planning sessions for students if needed, please call or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) our office to see about scheduling.

Students can call Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls to consult about being seen and an appointment may be scheduled. COVID-19 testing criteria and availability continues to change, and it is up to the health care provider whether persons are tested, based on current recommendations, including that generally asymptomatic persons and persons with mild symptoms are not tested. Testing may not always be available at all health care facilities depending on testing criteria and availability.
-Reproductive Health Appointments: Pierce County Reproductive Health Services in River Falls (1234 S. Wasson Lane, 715-425-8003) is closed due to the COVID-19 situation until further notice. For urgent requests and appointments, such as pill refills, students should call the Ellsworth Office at 715-273-6755 and requests will be triaged from there. Where do I go when I get sick, injured, or need a physical exam? Certain clinical health services are covered for UWRF students by Student Health Services through Vibrant Health Family Clinics in River Falls, 1687 East Division Street, River Falls. Where do I go when I need to talk to a personal counselor?

Alcohol and other drug assessments are also available for currently enrolled UWRF students through UWRF Counseling Services (a fee is charged for sanctioned assessments)
Appointment Cancellation and No-Show Policy: A no-show is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling. If a student has two no-show appointments in any semester, they need to talk directly with their counselor about options for their future care prior to rescheduling which will likely include referral off campus. A pattern of repeated cancellations, three of more in a semester, will indicate to the counselor the need to limit appointment frequency and/or consider a referral of services.
