All services listed above are provided as part of student fees. Prenatal care and specialist visits (such as surgeon, orthopedist, or ear/nose/throat) are not covered. No services are covered at the River Falls Area Hospital or emergency room. Prior to scheduling appointments, students may want to learn more about the Family Planning Only Services. The Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls provides a full range of medical services, but only those services listed above are covered by Student Health Services.
Clinic Location and Hours
Students can receive services at the Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls, 1687 East Division Street, during regular clinic hours (Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and Sunday for illness or minor injury walk-ins only 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
After clinic hours, students should still call the Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls and the answering service will put them in touch with a clinic provider (715-425-6701).

Presentation of a valid student I.D. is required. If students are covered by an insurance plan they must bring insurance cards or information. Some insurances may be billed first before Student Health Services, so if students do not wish their insurance to be billed for certain services, they should notify clinic registration staff.
Students are financially responsible for all services received at the Vibrant Health Family Clinic that are not covered by Student Health Services. Students should familiarize themselves with which services are and are not covered.
UWRF STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES DOES NOT PROVIDE EXCUSES FOR ABSENCES FROM CLASS. The notifying of instructors and arranging of make-up work in cases involving absence of students from class are the responsibility of the student. A student who is absent should notify instructors by phone, email, or in person of the absence as soon as possible. In serious situations where the student is incapacitated and temporarily unable to contact faculty, family members may contact the Student Conduct and Community Standards Office (715-425-0720) for assistance with these matters. This office then would provide notification (not verification) of the absence to the instructors involved. The Student Conduct and Community Standards Office does not provide excuses for absences from class. Arrangements for make-up work, make-up exams, or possible assignment adjustments are entirely the responsibility of the student. Medical excuses will not be written by staff or providers at the Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls nor by UWRF Student Health Services staff.
Taxi service by the River Falls Taxi at 715-425-7878 is provided for transportation to and from the Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls at no charge with presentation of a valid student I.D.
A new medical clinic, Allina Health River Falls Clinic, opened in River Falls in June of 2017. While anyone can seek services at this clinic, UWRF Student Health Services does not currently cover any services for students at this location, so students and/or their insurance will be responsible for the cost of care at this clinic.
