Campus Life

Sports & Recreation

Participating in recreational sports reduces stress and improves happiness. UW-River Falls offers a comprehensive array of sport and recreational opportunities designed to engage the campus community and enrich your university experience.

Intramural Sports
Intramural sports offer opportunities for physical activity and friendly competition right here on campus. There are several leagues and tournaments offered yearly to fit a variety of interests and skill levels.

Sport Clubs
Sport clubs are student-run organizations that come together to practice and travel to compete against other university clubs and/or programs in a sport of common interest.

From Zumba to yoga and bootcamp to step aerobics, we offer students a wide variety of weekly group fitness classes. Fitness Instructor training is also available for students looking to lead a fitness class.

Open Recreation
Play tennis, basketball, volleyball, boulder or use the 200-meter indoor track and cardio equipment at Knowles Center. Lace up your skates for time in the ice rink at Hunt Arena.

Falcon Outdoor Adventures
Make time to unwind and explore the outdoors. Falcon Outdoor Adventures offers over 20 guided trips, clinics and events throughout the year led by experienced student staff members. You'll also find a bike shop, an indoor climbing wall and a rental center with a collection of outdoor gear from bikes to camping equipment.

Whether you are looking for some time on the ice, need to work on your swing, or want to shoot hoops, we've likely got a facility where you can get it done.
