Our mission is to provide professional mental health counseling and consultation services for our campus community that:
Counseling Services does not provide long-term intensive counseling and psychotherapy. It is beyond Counseling Services' scope of practice to provide ongoing counseling and psychotherapy for students who may be diagnosed with a variety of serious, long-term psychiatric conditions, and individuals who appear to be a recurring high risk of harm to themselves or to the UW-River Falls community. These students will be referred to appropriate community resources.

Medical Clinic Appointments: M Health Fairview Clinic in River Falls: 319 Main Street, River Falls, WI (adjacent to Family Fresh Grocery). Current students should call 715-425-6701. Press option 2. This will connect to the care team. Tell the staff person answering the phone that you are an UWRF student and need to be scheduled at the River Falls Clinic for an appointment..Hours may vary due to COVID-19, check the clinic web page for current hours. Depending on the provider and the reason for the appointment request, telephone, video, or an in-person visit may be scheduled. Telephone and video appointments are covered by Student Health Services, as well as in-person appointments. Eligibility for Student Health Services at M Health Fairview Clinic and Pierce County Reproductive Health: Students are eligible for Student Health Services during the two academic terms and January and Summer terms as long as they are registered for classes and have paid required fees for that term.
