As of Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging staff will be utilizing a staggered staffing model for the fall semester. One member of the staff will be sitting at/covering the front desk on assigned days. On their unassigned days, they will either be working from home or in their individual office space. We are stilling willing and able to help you in any way we can! Please reach out to our staff via email, listed below, to set up times to chat over the phone or in a virtual meeting room.
Our lounge spaces will be open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. At this time we will not be able to have anyone in the lounge spaces once our office closes. We also have limited capacity within the spaces at this time. The furniture has been moved to the appropriate physical distance; please do not move the furniture. We will reevaluate as we receive more updates and directions from campus. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

The Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Office at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls strives to create an inclusive campus community where all people can feel valued, respected and safe. As such, the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Office is dedicated to affirming and embracing the multiple identities, values, belief systems, and cultural practices of the campus community. We foster student learning through inclusive and empowering experiences in the areas of identity development, multicultural awareness, leadership workshops, campus outreach, and campus activities.
Our office collaborates with other offices to help with closing the equity gap. The equity gap is defined as the gap in retention between underrepresented racial or ethnic groups and the retention rate of the majority student population. This gap is measured by percentage.
