Sexual/Intimate Partner Violence Prevention and Advocacy

Violence Prevention Coordinator

The Violence Prevention Coordinator (VPC) is a UW-River Falls employee whose role is to plan, implement, and evaluate theory- and evidence-informed sexual and intimate partner violence, sexual harassment and gender-based violence, and stalking (sexual/intimate partner violence) prevention strategies, policies, programs, and services to support student success.  The VPC is housed at 318 South Hall and can be reached by calling 715-425-4367. Current hours are 10 am - 3:30 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Hours may vary due to Covid-19, so call ahead to confirm hours.

Campus Victim Advocate

The Campus Victim Advocate (CVA) provides advocacy as well as direct and outreach/prevention services to UWRF students, faculty, and staff who have experienced sexual assault, harassment, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.  The CVA is someone who can provide immediate support and resources.  The CVA is also someone with whom victims can discuss options before deciding what a victim's next step/s could be.

The CVA is located in 318 South Hall.  The CVA works 8-12 hours per week on campus, flexible based on client needs and can meet with clients in South Hall or elsewhere based on client preference. Currently the CVA is in the office on Tuesdays, this may vary due to Covid-19 so call ahead to confirm hours.
