University Police Department
Our on-campus University Police Department provides 24-hour service. They are located in 103 Regional Development Institute and can be reached by calling 715-425-3133. In an emergency, dial 911.
Residence Hall Security
For your safety, the exterior doors to student residence halls are locked 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During the hours of 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., on-campus residents have card access to all residence halls. After 10 p.m. building access is restricted to building residents only.
Emergency Alert Notification System
Students and their families are encouraged to sign up for our Emergency Alert Notification system. Once you have subscribed, you can rest easy knowing that you will be notified via phone, e-mail, or text message in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Phones
UW-River Falls has 20 emergency call phones located throughout campus. Students are encouraged to use these phones in an emergency or to report criminal activity. By dialing 911, your call will go to the Pierce County Sheriff's Dispatch Center and the University Police Department will respond.
Safewalk Program
Through the Safewalk Program university police provide escorts to accompany students who do not want to walk alone during evening hours. Call 715-425-3133 to request an escort.
