Graduate School

As of the fall 2019 semester, the Career Services Office no longer schedules individual, one-on-one, appointments related to graduate school assistance. This includes graduate school personal statements, essays, applications, or diversity statements.

Although we are no longer scheduling these appointments, we are continuing to provide support and assistance in the graduate school application process through a variety of ways.

Each year, the Career Services Office hosts Graduate School Week in the month of September. This is a great way for students to visit with graduate school representatives and attend relevant workshops on how the application process works, how to write a personal statement, and how to best prepare for the GRE exam.

In addition, students can access our personal statement workshop online, 24/7. The Career Services recommends that students view the 30-minute workshop below to start their personal statement.

Once you have attended our personal statement workshop, either in-person or online, we encourage you to view our Personal Statement Checklist to ensure your statement is well polished.

After you have finished your personal statement, you have the opportunity to have it reviewed one-on-one during a 30-minute timeslot during our Personal Statement Roundtable Review.
