Spring Textbook Returns

Starting Monday, April 19th, once you no longer need a textbook, you can drop it off at one of our textbook drop points (see list below.) You do not need to return all your textbooks at the same time. All in-person returns must be to one of our drop points.

  • The book drop outside of Hagestad Hall, open 24/7.
  • The book drop in the basement of Hagestad, to the left of Textbook Services main doors (29 Hagestad Hall).
  • The rounded counter in the main hallway on the first floor of Hagestad.
  • Collection bins in the lobbies of all three floors of the Library
  • Collection bins by the University Center information desk

All items checked out from Textbook Services are due back by Friday, May 7th.

Books that are mailed must be postmarked by May 7th and received no later than May 14th. We recommend shipping with tracking. Click here for instructions on how to ship books back to us. Overdue and lost fees will apply.

Summer Term Textbooks

Starting Monday May 3rd, textbooks for Summer term can be checked out in person at the Textbook Services Help Desk. No appointments are necessary. Please observe social distancing. Hours for textbook pick up during finals week are:

  • Monday, May 3rd        8 am - 4 pm
  • Tuesday, May 4th       8 am - 5 pm
  • Wednesday, May 5th  8 am - 6 pm
  • Thursday, May 6th      8 am - 5 pm
  • Friday, May 7th           8 am - 4 pm

If you are unable to pick up textbooks in person, you can request them to be mailed to you using our online mail request form. Starting with Summer term we will resume charging a $12 mailing fee for shipping books. Mailing requests will be processed starting May 3rd.

Textbook Services Is Hiring!

Textbook Services is currently hiring for Seasonal Staff. We will be hiring 10-12 new staff. You can find a detailed Position Description and a link to the job on Handshake on our Student Employment page. Textbook Services staff positions are Student Assistant not Work Study.

Instructions for Shipping Textbooks Back to UWRF

  1. Pack all textbooks in a cardboard box or USPS Flat Rate Box. Fill any voids with packing material (e.g. air pillows, bubble wrap, newsprint).
  2. If you have only one or two books, you may use a padded shipping envelope instead of a box.
  3. Seal box with packing tape.
  4. Address the package to: UW-River Falls Textbook Services, 410 S. 3rd St., River Falls, WI 54022.
  5. Take the box to a Post Office, UPS Office or FedEx Store.
