UW-River Falls Textbook Services COVID-19 Response and Updates

Return of Spring Term Textbooks

At this time we are encouraging all students not to return textbooks to campus. Our drop box will be closed until further notice.

We are currently developing a detailed plan for end of semester return. Final plan will be posted on our webpage.

Current information for return:

  1. All Spring textbooks will have their due date extended until Fall term. (Specific date not determined yet.)
  2. There will be no late fees for not returning them at the end of this semester.
  3. All fines for damages will be waived, except in cases where a replacement book must be purchased.
  4. We are looking at several options for how you can return your textbooks.

We may individually contact students to arrange prepaid shipping for textbooks that are needed for summer semester.

Checking Out Spring Term Textbooks

Any student who needs a Spring semester textbook, for what ever reason, including:

  1. A textbook you didn't check out earlier and now you need it,
  2. Your textbook is in a dorm room, or somewhere else, where you can't get it,
  3. You need your B session textbook,

send an email to Textbook Services (textbookservices@uwrf.edu) with the Subject "Need Textbooks". Include in the email your name, "W" number, which class(es) including section (e.g. ENGL 200-01), and your full mailing address. We will determine if there is an eBook option for you, and if not, we will mail the textbook to you at no charge. Please be aware that due to current on-campus restrictions and current shipping delays, it may take from 3 to 6 business days to receive a physical textbook.

Temporary Removal of eSIS Holds

Due to the current situation on the UWRF campus, Textbook Services has temporarily lifted all Textbook holds on eSIS for currently enrolled students. This will allow students to enroll for Summer and Fall term classes. The holds will remain lifted until at least April 13th.
