Late Textbooks And eSIS Holds

If you notice a Textbook Services hold on your eSIS account that was placed on December 26th or 27th, it may be an automated entry from our End of Term process. When we run our End of Term report, any student that eSIS shows with an unreturned textbook from Fall semester will have a hold placed for the full replacement value of the unreturned books. Once the books are returned, you will pay the normal late fee ($5 - $15 per class depending on how late it is returned.) If you feel your hold was placed in error (i.e. you returned all your books), contact Textbook Services at Include your name and "W" number in the email.

Hours for Textbook Issue

Textbook Services will be open extended hours for issuing textbooks for Spring term. Spring term books can be checked out starting Tuesday, January 21st once all books from any previous terms are returned and any fines owed Textbook Services are paid. REMINDER: All Textbooks for J-term are due by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27th and must be returned before you get your Spring term books.

General Information

Welcome to Textbook Services. Our mission is to provide primary and secondary textbooks and learning resources to University of Wisconsin-River Falls students in direct support of the curriculum. Our service is primarily for undergraduate students.

Textbook Services is located in the basement of Hagestad Hall, Room 29.

Textbook Services is located in 29 Hagestad Hall (basement of building). We are not moving to Rodli.

Monday - Friday
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday

Textbook Services is open all year, excluding official university holidays and closures. We do have extended hours during textbook issue and return, which will be posted at least one week in advance.

Textbook Drop Boxes

Textbook Services has two drop boxes for returning textbooks. One is just outside our doors in the basement of Hagestad Hall. The other is outside Hagestad Hall on the east side. Both of these are open whenever we are closed. Books placed in the drop boxes are checked in the next business day.

Discontinued Books

We have books that we have discontinued from our regular inventory that are placed on sale for $5 or less. We also sometimes will place books on our free table.

Credit Card Policy

Minimum credit card charge is $2. Transactions under $2 must be paid with cash or check.
