The purpose of these practice sessions is to give students an appreciation of what to expect in a typical interview and an opportunity to refine their interviewing skills. By choosing to participate in this event, you are:

  • Enhancing communication/interview skills necessary to make you competitive in today's job market
  • Practicing professionalism by arriving early for the event, dressing professionally, and displaying a positive attitude while at the event
  • Building your professional network by developing connections before graduation and obtaining contact information to stay connected

Prepare for Your Mock Interview
-Review the Interview Preparation section of the website
-Know yourself - interests, skills, strengths, weaknesses, and goals
-Dress appropriately - learn more under the Dress for Success section on the Interview Preparation page. Even though this is a practice interview, it is expected that you will dress appropriately

When you sign-up for a mock interview, a commitment is made by both you and the interviewer to be there, and responsibility is shared by both parties. Failure to appear for a "real" interview is not acceptable behavior and will in fact lead to rejection as a candidate for employment. If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please call the office at 715-425-3572 to cancel or reschedule.
